Field guide / Data readiness

What to prepare for a first connection

A good pilot starts with authorized, verifiable and maintainable data.

01 / Inventory and permission

List source systems, owners, allowed fields and access methods. Use redacted samples to verify structure. Never upload databases or credentials to the public inquiry form.

02 / Identity and definitions

Projects, customers and people need stable identifiers. Agree on deadline, status and amount definitions, with update times. Missing and inconsistent data should remain visible.

03 / Separate reading from writing

Confirm what can be read before what can be written. Specify targets, approvals, retries and human handoff. A webhook is not a universal integration.

The takeaway

The product vision can be ambitious. The first pilot’s inputs, boundaries and acceptance criteria must be specific.
